CORROSION PREVENTION AND CONTROL (CPC) (CONT).
While corrosion is typically associated with rusting of metals, it can also include deterioration of other materials, such as
rubber and plastic. Unusual cracking, softening, swelling, or breaking of these materials may be a corrosion problem
If a corrosion problem is identified, it can be reported using Standard Form 368, Product Quality Deficiency Report. Use of
keywords such as "corrosion," "rust," "deterioration," or "cracking" will ensure that the information is identified as a CPC
problem. Submit the form to the address specified in DA PAM 738-750.

DESTRUCTION OF ARMY MATERIEL TO PREVENT ENEMY USE.
Command decision, according to the tactical situation, will determine when the destruction of the Heater will be
accomplished. A destruction plan will be prepared by the using organization unless one has been prepared by a higher
authority. For general destruction procedures for this equipment, refer to TM 750-244- 6, Procedures for Destruction of
Tank-Automotive Equipment to Prevent Enemy Use (U.S. Army Tank- Automotive Command)

REPORTING EQUIPMENT IMPROVEMENT RECOMMENDATIONS (EIR).
If your Heater needs improvement, let us know. Send us an EIR. You, the user, are the only one who can tell us what you
dont like about your equipment. Let us know why you dont like the design or performance. Put it on an SF 368 (Product
Quality Deficiency Report). Mail it to us at Commander, U. S. Army Tank- automotive and Armaments Command, ATTN:
AMSTA-IM-M.L,A, Warren, Michigan 48397-5000. A reply will be furnished to you. You may also provide DA Form 2028-

WARRANTY INFORMATION.
The Heater is warranted for twelve months. The warranty starts on the date found In block 23, DA Form 2408-9, in the
logbook. Report all defects in material and workmanship to your supervisor, who will take the appropriate action.
