Cleaning Solvent (Item 11, Appendix E)
WARNING
Cleaning solvent, Federal Specification P-D-680, is toxic and flammable. Use only in a well-
ventilated area. Avoid prolonged breathing of fumes. Keep solvent away from flames. Do not
use in excessive amounts. Avoid skin contact.
Equipment Conditions:
Heater unit shut down and cool.
Power cable disconnected from power source.
Access door removed (para. 3-10a).
Fuel oil filter removed (para. 3-35a).

Removal.
(1)
Disconnect elbow (13) from fuel line (8).
(2)
Tag and disconnect three fuel lines (1, 8, and 9) from valve (12).
(3)
Loosen setscrew (6) and remove knob (5).
(4)
Remove nut (4), valve (12), and locknut (7).
(5)
Tag and remove three elbows (2, 10, and 11).
