EQUIPMENT CHARACTERISTICS, CAPABILITIES, AND FEATURES
Many different heaters have been used in combat vehicles. These heaters supply warm air for crew comfort.
The heater is mounted in various locations based on model of vehicle application, and is operated by a control
box in the cab or driver compartment. The control box allows the operator to turn the heater on and off and
adjust the desired heat output. The control box is part of the vehicle; its operation and maintenance are not
covered by this manual.
