Shipping ContainerIf the shipping container appears damaged, inspect contents by comparing the Heater with Figure 1-1. Look for dents onthe exterior of the Heater. There are no loose parts in a functional Heater.To unpack the Heater, complete the following steps:1Open the box.2Verify contents:4(1) Fully Assembled Heater NSN: 2540-01-396-2826.Note: The Vent Outlet Seal is shipped loose in the plastic bag to avid shipping damage from theprotective end packaging material.4(1) Operator and Maintenance Manual (first 1000 units only).3Lift out top packaging brace.4Lift out the Heater (enclosed in the sealed plastic bag) and end packaging pieces.5Remove the two end packaging pieces and remove the Heater and Seal from the plastic bag and install the VentOutlet Seal.6Remove the plastic cap from the fuel inlet.7Save all packaging for shipping or storage.!CAUTION!When handling the Heater be careful NOT to damage the rubber Outlet Seal on theVentilation Air Outlet end as this will affect performance of the Heater wheninstalled!1-7
