Table 2-1. Operator/Crew Preventive Maintenance Checks and Services
NOTE
If the equipment must be kept in continuous operation, check and service
only those items that can be checked and serviced without disturbing opera-
tion. Make the complete checks and services when the equipment can be
shut down.
Perform weekly as well as before operation PMCS if:
a. You are the assigned operator and have not operated the item since the last weekly.
b. You are operating the item for the first time.
Within designated interval, these checks are to be performed in the order listed.
Engage safety chain to louver to avoid serious injury whenever front
half hood is raised.
NOTE
Ail procedural instructions assume that the front half hood is raised or both
the front half hood and bulkhead half hood have been removed if necessary
for access.
raise front half hood (1), release latch (3), pivot half hood upward, and hook safety chain (4) on louver (5).
remove entire hood assembly, release latch (3), remove bolts (6), and washers (7), and lift off trailer.
