Shutdown (Refer to Figure 2-9)
WARNING
Hot shutdown may damage heater and under some conditions, a
safety hazard may result. A hot shutdown occurs when the
combustion and vent blower fans are turned off at the same time
when in heat modes. Avoid turning off the combustion and vent
blower fans at the same time. Always set the mode selector switch
to VENT for at least 2 minutes when shutting down the heater unit
from heat modes.
(1)
Set the MODE SWITCH (1) in the VENT position for at least two minutes.
(2)
Set the MODE SWITCH (1) to the OFF position to shutdown the unit.
(3)
Install combuster air inlet cover (2) on combustor air inlet (3), and the return air duct cover (4) if the
return air duct (5) was not attached.
