NBC DECONTAMINATION PROCEDURES

If ASH is operating with fresh air damper assembly closed and supply and return air hose assemblies attached,
continue operation and proceed as follows:
a.
Do not open any doors or panels.
b.
Have decontamination performed on ASH.
CBPK PROCEDURES
The following procedures must be followed whenever the threat of a nuclear, biological, or chemical attack is known or
suspected.
WARNING
If an NBC attack has occurred, do not use CBPK equipment until all items have been decontaminated.
Refer to FM 3-5, NBC Decontamination, for detailed decontamination procedures.
Installation
1.
Remove 19 screws (1), lockwashers (2), washers (3), two lanyards (4), and fresh air damper assembly (5).
2.
Rotate fresh air damper assembly (5) 180 degrees (3200 mils) (chain attachment screw down) and install fresh air
damper assembly, two lanyards (4), 19 washers (3), lockwashers (2), and screws (1).
