Pipe elbow
Disconnect tube (11) at nuts (12), and unscrew

Carburetor

(7) from preheater box (2).
Gasoline used in operating this heater is explosive.
Avoid open flame near spilled or drained gasoline.
Make sure a Class 20-B:C fire extinguisher is in easy reach.
Dispose of waste gasoline in a safe manner.
NOTE
Disconnecting hose supplying fuel to carburetor may cause gasoline to
drain out. Collect gasoline in suitable container.
Disconnect hose (15) at quickdisconnect socket (16).
Disconnect governor link (17).

Carburetor
Remove 2 screws (18) attaching carburetor (19). Re-
move carburetor and retain for reassembly. Carefully
retain gasket (20).
Preheater box
Remove two screws (21) and remove preheater box
(2) from engine. Carefully retain gasket (22).
Intake elbow
Carefully lift out intake elbow (4). Retain gaskets
(23 and 24).
Dry cleaning solvent P-D-680 used to clean parts is potentially dan-
gerous to personnel and property. Flash point of solvent is 100° to
138°F (38° to 59°C).
Avoid repeated and prolonged skin contact.
Do not use near open flame or excessive heat.
Gaskets
Clean gaskets with solvent and soft-bristle brush.
Examine carefully. Discard gaskets showing damage
or signs of leakage.
Drain tube and
Disconnect drain tube (25) at nut (26). Unscrew
adapter body
adapter body (27).
