Examine catch (1) on preheater (2).
If damaged or missing, replace box.
Examine wick (3). If missing,
burned, or damaged, replace.
Check intake elbow (4), drain tube
(5), and fuel line connections for
leaks or looseness. Tighten securely.
Replace parts as needed.
Be sure air holes (6) in sides of
box (2) are open.
Dry cleaning solvent P-D-680 used to clean parts is potentially dan-
gerous to personnel and property. Flash point of solvent is 100° to
138°F (38° to 59°C).
Avoid repeated and prolonged skin contact.
Do not use near open flame or excessive heat.
5. Screen box
Be sure screen (7) in bottom of
preheater box (2) is clear. If
clogged, clean with solvent and
brush. Air dry thoroughly and
replace.
