4-44. FUEL CONTROL VALVE, TEMP. SELECTOR, FUEL CONTROL BLOCK AND CHECK VALVE (CONT)

15. Fuel control
Remove fluid passage bolt (34) and preformed
valve
packing (35) through bulkhead (36). Carefully Iii out
fuel control valve (37) and preformed packing (38)
and pull attached capillary and probe through
bulkhead (36).
NOTE
If fuel control valve is to be replaced, remove pipe cross (47) and attached fittings
as an assembly and install on new fuel control valve.
16. Fuel tube
Disconnect fuel tube (39) at tube nut (40).
17. Handle
Loosen setscrew (41) and remove handle (42).
18. Temperature
Remove fluid passage bolt (43) and preformed
selector valve
packing (44) through bulkhead (36). Carefully lift out
temperature selector valve (45) and preformed
packing (46) and pull attached capillary and probe
through bulkhead (36).
NOTE
if temperature selector valve is to be replaced, remove elbow (48) and attached
fitting as an assembly and install on new temperature selector valve.

Disconnect fuel tube (49) at tube nut (50) and fuel
control block (51) and remove fuel control block
from bulkhead (36).
Remove check valve (52) from pipe tee (53).
Install check valve (52) to pipe tee (53). (The arrow
on the check valve should point away from the tee.)
Connect fuel tube (49) to pipe tee (53) and fuel
control block (51).
Position fuel control block (51) to bulkhead (36).
Carefully thread probe and capillary through bulk-
head (36). Install preformed packing (46) and mount
temperature selector valve (45) usng flu-id passage
bolt (43) and preformed packing (44).
NOTE
Be sure that tooth portion of valve stem engages gear driving temperature
indicator knob.
25. Handle
Mount handle (42) and secure with setscrew (41).
26. Fuel tube
Connect fuel tube (39) using tube nut (40).
