MALFUNCTION

1. HEATER DOES NOT START- Continued
e. Connect wires (2) and (3) of igniter (1), turn heater on, and inspect
igniter when hot, for hot spots and uneven heating.
Step 10. Check for defective ignition control (4) by placing red muitimeter probe on terminal at
one end and black probe on terminal at other end.
If multimeter reading is one ohm or more, replace ignition control (page
2-47).
WARNING
The flame detector switch does not control heater temperature.
Misadjustments of flame detector switch can cause damage to the heater and
may result In injury to personnel. Detector switch must be adjusted when
heater is cool.
Step 11. Check for defective frame detector switch (5) as follows:
a. Disconnect all leads from the flame detector switch (5).
b. Place one multimeter probe on each NO terminal.
If multimeter reading is greater than one ohm, replace frame
detector switch (page 2-43).
Step 12. Adjust flame detector switch (page 2-44).
