TM 9-2540-207-14&P F1 - IGNITION OVERTIME F1 The heater-was unable to establish ignition in the 3 1/2 minute time limit CHECK/POSSIBLE CAUSE REF. REPAIR 1 Check that wire is installed 4.4.1 Install Wire on Igniter Post onto Igniter and that Igniter Install Igniter Hatch Hatch is installed correctly Restart Heater 2 Check that Igniter Holder is 4.4.1 Clean Igniter Holder clean Restart Heater 3 Check that Igniter is wet with If Igniter is dry then proceed to steps 3-9 fuel If Igniter is wet then proceed to steps 10-16 4 Check that Vehicle or source vehicle Reconnect source fuel pump fuel pump is operating TM Restart Heater 5 Check if vehicle fuel filter is vehicle Replace vehicle fuel filter plugged TM Restart Heater 6 Remove Top Cover and check Bleed air from fuel lines, straighten fuel for air bubbles in fuel line. lines and remove obstructions Check if fuel line to Heater is Restart Heater pinched/obstructed 7 Check for ample fuel supply Fill fuel tank with fuel & restart 8 Defective Fuel Injector 5.5.5 Replace Fuel Injector Restart Heater 9 Check for Fuel flow from the vehicle Turn Vehicle fuel pumps on and remove source pump to the fuel TM Obstructions and bends in fuel lines injector Restart Heater 10 Heater is flooded (after 3 "no 3.5 If heater is flooded, purge 3 times without start" conditions) starting (see 3.5) Wait for 30 min.
