1. Choke lever
Check for secure attachment
of choke lever (1) to shaft (2).
Check for bends or distortion
which could cause binding.
2. Choke lever
Operate lever (1) to check for
operation
smooth operation of choke
valve. Note tension on lever
action. If choke lever is dam-
aged or will not operate
properly, forward carburetor
to direct support mainte-
nance for replacement.
ADJUSTMENT
3. Choke lever
Turn choke lever screw (3) clockwise to increase
spring
tension on choke lever spring (4), and turn
counterclockwise to relieve tension. Tension must
be sufficient to hold choke in any set position
during operation of engine.
