Do not operate heater in enclosed space. Adequate ventilation is re-
quired to prevent buildup of exhaust fumes which can be toxic in con-
centrated amounts.
Wear approved ear protection equipment within 25 feet (7.6 meters) of
operating heater, Failure to do so may result in impairment or loss of
hearing.
6. Engine starter
Start engine and allow
pulley
to warm up. Set
tachometer for 3600
rpm. Point tachometer
at engine starter pulley
(8). If engine starter
pulley appears to move,
increase bend in
bracket (9) to increase
engine speed, straighten
bracket to decrease
engine speed. Adjust
until engine starter
pulley (8) appears to
stand still.
Turn high speed needle
valve (7) clockwise un-
til engine slows. Then
turn high speed needle
valve counterclockwise
past smooth operating
point until engine
again slows. Count the
turns. Then turn the
high speed needle valve
clockwise 1/2 of the
number of counter-

8. Governor link
clockwise turns.
Disconnect governor link (3) from throttle lever (4).
