Be sure governor spring (4) is
connected to lever (1) at the
second spring mounting hole
counting inward from the outer
end.
Check hair pin (5) for correct
installation.
Be sure governor link (6) pivots
freely on carburetor throttle
lever (7) and governor lever (1).
ADJUSTMENT
5. Tachometer
Set tachometer for 3600 rpm.
Do not operate heater in enclosed space. Adequate ventilation is re-
quired to prevent buildup of exhaust fumes which can be toxic in con-
centrated amounts.
Wear approved ear protection equipment within 25 feet (7.6 meters) of
operating heater. Failure to do so may result in impairment or loss of
hearing.
6.
Engine
Start engine. Allow to warm up.
7.
Engine starter
Point tachometer at engine starter pulley.

If pulley appears to stand still, governor
is properly set.
8.
Bracket
If pulley appears to move, increase
bend in bracket (8) to increase tension
on spring (4). Engine speed will in-
crease. Straighten bracket (8) to
relieve tension on spring, Engine speed
will decrease. Adjust bracket until
starter pulley appears to stand still.
