The Model PH400G Heater is designed to operate normally within a wide range of climatic conditions. How-
ever, some extreme conditions require special operating and servicing procedures to prevent undue loading
and excessive wear on the equipment.

OPERATION IN EXTREME COLD.

Carefully clean ice and snow from fuel tank cap before adding fuel.
Keep fuel tank full to prevent condensation,
Use low temperature lubricant in engine.
Immediately after use, clean all snow, ice, and mud from heater,
In extreme cold, remove engine and store in a heated location.
Cover heater when not in use.
b. Startup at Temperatures Below 30°F (34°C).
Engage safety chain to louver to avoid serious injury whenever front
half hood is raised.
(1) Open front half hood (1).
(2) Close choke by turning lever (2) clockwise as far as it will go.
