4. Inspect the carbon monoxide detector (5) and ensure that it has not been damaged in any way.
Ensure that the louvers (6) are not blocked or damaged in such a way as to prevent proper
airflow into the detector. Ensure that the indicator lamp (7) is not broken or missing and that the
"PUSH TO TEST" button (8) functions properly (note that button does not protrude from cover. If
the carbon monoxide detector is damaged, replace as detailed in the section of this work package
entitled REPLACE.
