CHAPTER 4
ORGANIZATIONAL MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS
SECTION I. SERVICE UPON RECEIPT OF MATERIAL
4-1. INSPECTING AND SERVICING THE EQUIPMENT
a.
Inspection.
(1)
Inspect the entire heater assembly for signs of physical damage.
(2)
Inspect the heater to be sure that it is properly assembled, secure, dean, correctly adjusted, and no
evidence of fuel leaks.
(3)
Correct deficiencies within the scope of organizational maintenance before placing the heater in service.
b.
Servicing. Perform the preventive maintenance checks and services described in Table 4-1.

Refer to Paragraph 2-3 for instructions on setting up the immersion heater.
