Move handle (1) to the full
open position (counterclockwise
when standing at back of heater
facing forward), Loosen set–
screw (2). Reach through open
shutter assembly (4), hold head
of screw (10) with wrench or
pliers, and remove handle (1).
Be sure to retrieve screw,
spring (11), and seal plate (12).
Remove screws (6), washers (7),
and nuts (8). Pull shutter assem–
bly (4) out of heat exchanger
case (13).
Remove nut (5) and washer
(14). Lift radiation shield (9) and
stop damper (15) off bolt (16)
attached to damper (17). Reinspect
individual parts and replace if
defective.
Assemble damper (17), stop
damper (15), and radiation shield
(9) and secure with nut (5) and
washer (14). Be sure that bracket
(18) is aligned with stop(19) on
stop damper (15).
Reach through open shutter assembly (4), insert
screw (10) upward through opening in bracket
(18), and install spring (11) and seal plate (12)
over screw. Hold screw from the bottom (head)
depress seal plate slightly, and insert shutter
assembly into heat exchanger case (13) until screw
can be pushed upward through slot (3). While still
supporting screw, install handle (1) and secure
with setscrew (2). Install screws (6), washers (7),
and nuts (8). Tighten securely.
