300 hours of use (more often when run at steady load).

Using wire brush, remove carbon deposits from
combustion chamber.

CAUTION
Always note position of different cylinder head screws. Damage can
result from putting screws in wrong holes.
7.
Cylinder head
Place cylinder head (8) with new cylinder head
gasket (7) in position on cylinder.
CAUTION
Do not turn one screw down completely before others. Doing so can
warp cylinder head.
8. Cylinder head
Apply antiseize compound
screws
(Appendix E, Item 1) on
screw (9 and 10) before
installing in cylinder head.
Three screws (9) are longer
than other five screws (10).
Install longer screws in
holes 2, 3, and 7 as shown.
Install shorter screws with
washer (11) in holes 1, 4,
8, 5, and 6. Tighten all
screws evenly by hand.
Then use torque wrench to
tighten screws in the sequence
shown beginning with 1. Torque
screws to 140 in lb (15.8 Nm).
