5. Valve seat
From valve seat puller kit (Appendix B, Section Ill,
Item 12) removal select proper puller nut (19182 for
exhaust, 19139 for intake). Insert puller nut as illus-
trated. Place puller body under washer next to bolt.
Be sure puller body does not rest on valve seat (2
or 4). Turn bolt until valve seat is pulled out.

NOTE
It may be necessary to grind puller nut until edge is 1/32 inch (0.8 mm) thick
in order to get puller nut under valve seat.
New valve seat (2 or 4) is chamfered at outer edge.
Insert new valve seat with chamfered side down. ln-
sert valve seat pilot into guide (5 or 6). Drive new
valve seat into place with valve seat driver. Use old
valve seat as spacer between valve seat driver and
new valve seat. Drive new valve seat until it bottoms.
Top of valve seat will be slightly recessed.
