Chapter 4 UNIT MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS
Section I. REPAIR PARTS, SPECIAL TOOLS, TMDE, AND SUPPORT EQUIPMENT

GENERAL.
a. For authorized common tools and equipment, refer to the Modified Table of Organization and Equip-
ment (MTOE) applicable to your unit.
b. Test, Maintenance, and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE) and support equipment include standard
equipment found in any organizational maintenance shop.
c.
Repair parts and special tools are listed and illustrated in the Repair Parts and Special Tools List
(RPSTL), TM 9-4520-251 -24P, covering unit, direct support, and general support maintenance for
this equipment.
Section Il. SERVICE UPON RECEIPT

UN LOADING.
The Model PH-400-G Heater is packaged in a container designed for shipment. The base of the container
is constructed as a shipping pallet with provisions for the insertion of the fingers of a fork on materials handling
equipment. Unload as follows:
a. Remove all blocking and tiedowns that may have been used to secure the container to the carrier.
Do not allow unit to swing while suspended from a lifting device. FaiI-
ure to observe warning may result in injury to personnel and damage
to equipment.
Use care in handling to avoid damage to heater. If an overhead lifting
device must be used, use appropriate sling so that weight of unit is
borne by base of the shipping container.
b. Use a forklift truck or other suitable material handling equipment to remove the unit from the carrier.
