ac. Stop engine and dispose of fuel/preservative accumulated from fuel drain tube in accordance with
post/installation disposal procedures.
ad. Remove blocking from under tow bar.
ae. After engine cooIs, remove engine (refer to para 4–21), fan and hub assembly (refer to para 4–50),
igniter (refer para 4-48), and fuel nozzle (refer to para 4–59).
af. Clean igniter and fuel nozzle with P–D–680 and blow dry with compressed air.
ag. Install fuel nozzle (refer to para 4–59), igniter (refer to para 4–48), fan and hub assembly (refer to
para 4–50), and engine (refer to para 4–21 ).
ah. Adjust V–belt (refer to para 4-41).
ai. Connect alternator wires between engine and ignition assembly (refer to para 4-21).
aj. Connect pressure gauge and check fuel pump pressure (1 35–150 Ibs). If pressure is not within this
range, fuel pressure must be adjusted (refer to para 4–40).
ak. Start engine and operate heater for approximately 30 minutes or until heater exhaust stops smoking
(refer to para 2-7).
